“The Bend” Habitat Management Unit

Broadmoor Development threatens this mile of shoreline, a wildlife preserve of biodiversity managed by the Army Corps for over 80 years. We aim to protect as is, establishing a buffer park between preserve & approaching housing/retail, moving traffic eastward to leave Shoreline Road a bike/ped path.

Selph Landing Road & Boat Launch

This historical site has hosted river crossings and fisherfolk for many decades. Development continues along the bluffs & nearby. We aim to preserve access & use for generations to come.

Chiawana Water Trail

In service to non-motorized paddlers. We cooperate with the Army Corps to identify sites along the Franklin County shoreline from Ringold Fish Hatchery to Sacajawea State Park for paddlers to rest, picnic, and access the trail. CWT joins Tapteal Water Trail and the greater Columbia River Water Trail. Check it out at:
